Yesterday evening, the Human Dignity Trust was honoured to win the Diversity and Inclusion Initiative of the Year award at the British Legal Awards 2022.

The prestigious award recognises UK-based law firms and legal organisations who have delivered on promoting greater diversity and inclusion in their work.

Téa Braun, Chief Executive of the Trust, commented: ‘This win is a testament to the expertise and dedication of our staff team combined with the outstanding assistance of our pro bono legal teams, working with our incredible partners around the world. Diversity and inclusion is at the heart of what we do as we work to reduce the number of countries across the globe that criminalise LGBT people.’

The Trust celebrated its 11-year anniversary in November and has established an international reputation for using the law to defend the human rights of LGBT people globally. Since 2011, the organisation has supported litigation and law reform in 25 countries with a total population of 25 million LGBT people by providing technical legal assistance and strategic communications support.
