Seun is based in Nigeria and provides the Trust with regional expertise and technical assistance to our work supporting partners in East and West Africa.

Before joining the Trust, Seun was Chief Executive at the Leicester LGBT Centre. At Amnesty International in Nigeria, he was Director of programmes in charge of research, campaign, and advocacy. He has previously worked as staff and practised as a lawyer, before many international and regional tribunals, including the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights, the ECOWAS Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws from Nigeria; a Master of Laws in international human rights law from the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria, and has completed a Ph.D. in international criminal law from the Leiden University. Among other professional engagements, Seun practises as Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
