The Human Dignity Trust uses Beacon, a third-party customer relationship management (CRM) platform, to manage information about our supporters and donors. We have been informed by Beacon of a cyber-security incident in which unauthorised access to their systems occurred on 27-28 July 2026, resulting in the likely download of customer data, affecting thousands of charities in the UK.

The data potentially affected includes supporter names, email addresses, home or billing addresses (where provided), donation history, Gift Aid declarations, and contact preferences. No card details or bank account information are stored in Beacon.

We have reset all relevant Beacon security credentials, have submitted a report to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and are following Beacon’s investigation closely. We have written directly to all our affected supporters with further details.

If you have any questions, please contact our Data Protection lead at [email protected].
