The Human Dignity Trust announced today that Jonathan Cooper OBE has decided to step down from his role as Chief Executive of the organisation.

After 5 years at the HDT Jonathan has decided to pursue different avenues for his career as an international human rights lawyer. Jonathan wishes the HDT very well.

Founding Trustee and former Chair of HDT, Tim Otty Q.C. said, “Jonathan has played an integral role in establishing and developing the HDT from the very beginning. We are all very grateful for the great contribution he has made to furthering human rights and the protection of LGBT people around the world through his work for the HDT.”

Shaun Woodward, Chair of HDT said “Jonathan has been hugely important in building the reputation of HDT and we are enormously grateful for the five years he has given to helping develop the arguments of HDT for equality and upholding human rights. We wish him all the very best for the future.”
